Genelco by POWERX provides field evaluation services to verify, test, and label electrical equipment that lacks certification or has been modified onsite. Unlike firms that rely on third-party certifiers, Genelco is authorized to issue its own NEC compliant field evaluated labels—accelerating your path to final inspection and occupancy.
We serve clients with urgent approval needs, retrofit projects, or custom-built equipment that must meet UL/NFPA/ANSI/IEEE or equivalent standards in the field.

Services Provided
On-Site Equipment Evaluation
- Visual inspection of construction, materials, and wiring
- Comparison to applicable UL, NFPA, ANSI, and IEEE standards
- Verification of grounding, spacing, labeling, and overcurrent/overload protection
Testing & Verification
- Dielectric testing, insulation resistance, and continuity checks
- Measurement of Current, voltage, temperature rise, etc as per requirements
- Comparison to manufacturer or design specifications
Label Issuance
- Application of Genelco’s proprietary field evaluated label
- Certificate of evaluation with equipment details, date, and standard applied
- Documentation ready for Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), electrical inspectors, or building officials, or be your local AHJ when none are available.
Support for AHJ & Inspector Coordination
- Coordination with local jurisdictions and inspectors
- Engineering support during walk-throughs or review meetings
- Clarification of applied codes, standards, and testing procedures
