Commissioning Services

Factory Acceptance & Installation Testing

  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT): Verify equipment performance at the manufacturer before shipment.
  • Site Installation Inspection: Confirm physical integrity, workmanship, and code-compliant installation.
  • Pre-Functional Testing (PFT): Test components like transformers, UPS, switchgear, and generators individually.

Performance & Integration Testing

  • Functional Performance Testing (FPT): Validate inter-system operation and sequencing.
  • Integrated Systems Testing (IST): Exercise entire systems under live loads to replicate real-world performance.
  • System-Wide Diagnostics: Includes insulation resistance, power factor, and turns ratio testing.
  • Performance Verification: Conducts load testing, harmonic analysis, and energy optimization reviews.

Levels of Commissioning

Level 0 – Design Phase

Drawing and spec reviews, LEED documentation, constructibility input

Level 1 – Factory Witness Testing

Observed testing of protective relays, breakers, UPS, and switchgear at OEM facilities

Level 2 – Component Acceptance

Receiving inspection, physical verification, labeling and documentation

Level 3 – Installation Verification

System startup, vendor commissioning, and interface validation

Level 4 – Subsystem Testing

Scripted sequence testing, simulated fault conditions, and operational response

Level 5 – Integrated Systems Testing

Load transitions, BMS/SCADA validation, full facility functionality under simulated real-world conditions

Post-Commissioning (Level P)

Final reports, seasonal testing, warranty follow-ups, and operational turnover with team training
